Associate Recruitment

Associate recruitment goes through a separate process from formal recruitment which occurs during the first few weeks of school! Potential new members can participate in both formal and associate recruitment.

Who is Alpha Omega Epsilon?

An associate chapter chartered in 2006, the Sigma chapter of Alpha Omega Epsilon was founded to give minority groups in STEM a sense of community and support within male-dominated fields. Their members work actively to empower others professionally and academically, as well as provide a sense of community where under-represented genders can grow as individuals and future leaders.

Alpha Omega Epsilon’s colors are Royal Blue, White, and Silver; their symbol is the Dolphin; their flower is the White Rose; and their philanthropies are Dress for Success and the FIRST Robotics.

Preparing for Associate Recruitment:

Over the Summer:

Take the time to fill out our interest form that can also be found on our website. That way, a sister can reach out to contact you and give you some more information/answer any questions you may have! In the meantime, feel free to reach out to our Director of Recruitment, Nina Kesava, at recruitment.gtaoe@gmail.com. You can also browse our recruitment page or instagram for more information.

More information about our nights are coming soon!

During Associate Recruitment

The dates for Associate Recruitment will be released soon!

Attend one of our info nights! Only attending one of these is required, and it’ll be a casual night (no dress code) to get to know us a little better and meet us for the first time! You’ll also learn more about what recruitment and candidacy look like, and what it would look like to be an active member.

Then we have our four recruitment events: professional night, leadership night, friendship night, and lastly, interview night for eligible members only. Each night has a different dress code, but don’t worry too much about them! They’re just to make the nights more fun, so try and come in whatever you have access to.

To learn more about each of the recruitment nights and what eligibility entails, please click here. Also, if you’d like to read more about what it would look like to be a candidate and active member, check out our mini guide on AΩE.

Professional Night

Date and TIME TBD

AΩE is a social and professional sorority! We place a lot of value in preparing our sisters for professional settings, and some ways we support active members include resume workshops, tips on networking, and advice on workplace advocacy. Learn more about our professional side and what we offer by joining us for a fun and professional activity!

Leadership Night

Date and TIME TBD

Get to know our sisters more! You will have an opportunity to learn about how we value leadership, ways to get involved in leadership within our chapter, and learn about what makes AΩE so special!

Friendship Night

Date and TIME TBD

Spend the night hanging out with sisters and other fellow PNMS! Join for some fun activities & laid back conversations, and hear from a few sisters about some of the valuable connections that they have made!

Interview Night

Date and TIME TBD

Have a one on one interview with a sister! We want to get to know you on a more personal level, where we not only see if you are a good fit for us, but you can see if we are a good fit for you! This is for eligible PNMs only (details about interview eligibility will be delivered on the first couple recruitment nights).

More Information

Attendance:

In order to be eligible for an interview on night 4, you must come to at least one Information Night and one of our first three recruitment events (Professional, Leadership, and Friendship Night). We do encourage PNMs to come to all events if possible. Though, if this is an issue and you have other time conflicts for any night, do not fret! Just reach out to our Director of Recruitment at recruitment.gtaoe@gmail.com and we will work it out with you!

Outfits:

For the information nights, there is no dress code. Though, for our other recruitment events, we do encourage PNMs to come dressed in the theme of the night. More details about outfits will be released soon on our website. These are encouraged but not required- just something fun to get in the spirit of recruitment!

Fees during Recruitment:

We have no application fees for our recruitment process, but if you are extended a bid and accept, you will have to pay our dues. More information will be released during our Recruitment Events!

We can’t wait to see you there!
