Alpha Chi Omega

Together let us seek the heights.

In 1975, the Epsilon Phi chapter of Alpha Chi Omega was founded on the basis of love, loyalty, and friendship. The sisters of Alpha Chi Omega are devoted to seeking the heights through passion for service and drive for academic success, taking pride in being a sisterhood full of talented, diverse, well-rounded women who make this organization unique and authentic. Alpha Chi Omega’s colors are Scarlet and Olive Green; their symbol is the Golden Lyre; their flower is the Red Carnation; and their philanthropy is Domestic Violence Awareness, Education, and Prevention.

“Growing up 15 minutes from campus, I was scared I would have a hard time branching out at Tech, so I went into recruitment looking for a group of people who would challenge and support me to leave my comfort zone. When I walked through the teal doors of Alpha Chi for the first time, I knew I had found not just a wonderful community but a home. Now, I’ve made lifelong friends who teach me new things every day. They help me see my city through a new lens and encourage me to seek the heights! I couldn’t ask for a more genuine sisterhood, and I can’t wait to watch it grow!”

“Going through rush, I was so nervous I wasn’t going be able to find my people: the ones who would welcome me with open arms and constant love. When I walked through the doors of Alpha Chi on Sisterhood, I subconsciously knew that this was my place. Ever since then, I’ve met women who not only push me to be better, but who I can call up whenever I need help or even a simple laugh. The diversity within Alpha Chi, across backgrounds and experiences, has created an inclusive community where I feel valued and empowered to be my authentic self. In Alpha Chi, I’ve gotten involved in social committees, contributed service towards our philanthropy, Domestic Violence Awareness, and experienced healthy, unconditional love. Alpha Chi Omega has not only given me life leadership skills, but also sisters for life, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for AXO!”

“Coming to Georgia Tech from out of state, I was so nervous about balancing academics and a social life at a school as rigorous as Tech. I’ve always been focused on school and I never thought I’d join a sorority before college; it just didn’t feel like something that would be the right fit for me. But joining Alpha Chi completely changed that! From the moment I walked in the door during formal recruitment, I have met some of the most incredible, supportive, and fun women who have shown me that you really can have both, work hard in school and build the strongest friendships. Now, I even find myself on the executive board to give back to the chapter that has shaped my college experience for the better. I’ve found my best friends, the kind of people who will be in my life forever, whether it’s late-night study sessions, spontaneous adventures, or grabbing coffee around Atlanta. I’m so thankful for the lifelong friendships and built-in support I’ve found in Alpha Chi!”

To see beauty in the common things of life, to shed the light of love and friendship round me; To keep my life in tune with the world that I shall make no discords in the harmony of life; To strike on the lyre of the universe only the notes of happiness, of joy, of peace; To appreciate every little service rendered; To see and appreciate all that is noble in another, be her badge what it may; And to let my lyre send forth the chords of love, unselfishness, sincerity. This is to be my symphony.
