Alpha Xi Delta
“Inspiring Women To Realize Their Potential”
The Gamma Eta chapter of Alpha Xi Delta was founded to create a community among the first women attending Georgia Tech. For over 70 years, sisters have been leaders across campus and have inspired others to realize their potential.
Sisters dedicate themselves to one another and to the ideals of the sorority. Alpha Xi Deltas thrive in their strong sisterhood, support others in their passions, and push themselves to grow in all aspects of life. Whether it’s scholarship or service, sisterhood or socials, members have found a place where they can be their best selves!”
Alpha Xi Delta’s Kindly Hearts Initiative seeks to support children experiencing foster care or homelessness. Our chapter works with local organizations, such as Atlanta Angels and Atlanta’s Children Shelter, and our philanthropic efforts encompass everything from volunteering at shelters to packaging supplies to fundraising for relief campaigns.
Whether it’s scholarship or service, sisterhood or socials, each of our members has found a place where they can realize their potential and be their best selves. They have truly found a home in Alpha Xi Delta!

“Alpha Xi Delta has been one of the greatest blessings college has brought me. During recruitment, the authenticity of this sisterhood was evident as I felt welcomed and valued by every sister I talked to. Coming to college from out of state, I was nervous that I wouldn’t be able to find a community for me. However, the members of this chapter have become my strongest and most influential friendships at Tech. I can lean on them any time I need to laugh, want to go to a football game, explore Atlanta, or to even find a study buddy. Additionally during my time in Alpha Xi, I have been inspired by older sisters who have motivated me in every way possible. They encourage me to be both a better student and leader. The sisterhood of this chapter is prevalent as we strive to encourage each other to realize our own potential. I look forward to all the future memories I will make with this chapter as I continue to grow, and I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else.”

“Going into rush, I wasn’t sure if being in a sorority was for me. In my mind, I had lived my whole life without a sister, but now I cannot imagine life without this sisterhood. The girls I have met through Alpha Xi are some of the sweetest, hardest working people I know. They have all helped me grow into the best person I can be, both as a student and a sister. Whether it be an amazing meal at the house, dancing at date nights, grabbing a sweet treat and coffee, or a library study sesh, I am so grateful to be joined by these amazing women. I look forward to making many more memories together!”

“Coming to Georgia Tech, I was super nervous going through recruitment. There were so many unknowns, but as soon as I stepped into Alpha Xi Delta, I knew it was going to be my home. Throughout the past three years, I have found the best friendships and connections, whether it be through my academic mentor, my little, and all of the wonderful friends I have made. I am super grateful for my time in Alpha Xi and all of the amazing memories I will never forget!”

“These things do we earnestly desire: A clear vision of life, that with gracious and kindly hearts we may share both joy and sorrow and bring into living reality the Sisterhood of women. An appreciation of real merit and worth, steadfastness of soul, that without bitterness or defeat we may encounter misfortune and with humility meet success. These things, O Lord, help us to instill within our hearts that we may grow in courage and graciousness and peace.”
