Kappa Alpha Theta
“Leading Women.”
The Theta Nu chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta aspires to give its members an opportunity to become a part of something larger than themselves.
Every member of Theta embodies the characteristics of a strong leader, a compassionate friend, and an empowered woman who is always willing to lend a helping hand. From bid day to graduation, our members strive to create an inclusive, diverse, and supportive environment for each other and the community. Every day, Thetas continue to live out our four values: intellectual curiosity, leadership potential, commitment to service, and personal excellence.
Kappa Alpha Theta’s colors are Black and Gold, their symbols are a Kite and Twin Stars, their flower is the Black and Gold Pansy, and their philanthropy is Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).

“I think in every universe, I’m a Theta. This chapter has given me more than I ever expected. I found women who celebrate my wins, support me on the hard days, and push me to be the best version of myself. Some of my closest friendships at Tech were born in thismsisterhood — friendships I know I will carry for a lifetime. I’m so grateful for the way Theta love has shaped me into the woman I am today.”

“As an out-of-state freshman, I was terrified of the rush process and assumed sorority life was not for me, so I didn’t even attempt fall rush. But over time, I watched so many girls find real friendships, comfort, and a sense of home through their sororities, which made me reconsider. By spring, I decided to go through COB. At my first Theta COB date, I remember thinking how genuine and inspiring the girls sittng in front of me were. When I accepted my bid, I thought it would just be a fun part of my college experience, but I quickly realized these were girls I would have in my life forever. I came in unsure of where I belonged, and now I cannot imagine my college experience without Theta.”

“As a second-year transfer going through recruitment, I was really looking to find my place at Tech. As each round of recruitment went on, I found myself more and more drawn to Theta! I was immediately welcomed, and was so lucky to find amazing support and love from everyone! I’m also so grateful for my incredible big who has always been there for me, and can’t wait to potentially meet my little during rush! Theta has made me a better leader, a better sister, and a better person!”
