More Information

Fees:

There is a non-refundable fee of $60 to register, which covers the administrative costs of recruitment and a Panhellenic shirt to wear during Open House Round. A scholarship is available to waive all fees and any potential new member is eligible to apply. The fees will be required to pay upon registering for formal recruitment and will be reimbursed upon winning.

Outfits:

In general, when picking your recruitment outfits try to stick to the 4 C’s: cute, casual, comfortable, and confident. As the rounds progress, your outfits will get slightly nicer, although as a whole Georgia Tech’s recruitment process is more casual than many other schools’. Recruitment is long each day, so being comfortable in what you wear is the most important. Lastly, everyone’s personal style is different, and chapters want to see what makes you unique! If you feel stylish and confident in what you are wearing, then it will show in your conversations with members. Wear what you are most comfortable in!

Also, there is no specific guidance when it comes to makeup and accessories as we understand that people wear makeup and accessories in a wide range; think to yourself how you would prepare your makeup, hair and accessories for the example locations and events given below for each round. If you wear makeup everyday, then wear your everyday makeup on Round 1! If you never wear makeup, then don’t put any on for Preference Round!

Round 1

Round 1 is casual and comfortable attire. You will be given a Panhellenic shirt to wear for Open House rounds. Shorts and athletic skirts are recommended. For both days 1 and 2, wear clothes that you wear on a regular basis, and make sure to wear your Panhellenic shirt as your top. Running shoes, sneakers, or walking sandals are appropriate for Round 1 because there will be the most walking these days.

Round 2

Round 2 is casual and cute attire. Wear clothes that you would wear to a picnic with friends or a walk around the city! This is the perfect time to show off your favorite casual summer outfit! Skirts, shorts, or casual sundresses are recommended. Nicer sneakers, sandals, flats, or other nicer shoes without a heel are appropriate for Round 2.

Round 3

Round 3 is nice and cute attire, one step nicer than Round 2 attire. Wear clothes that you would wear to a nice meal with your family, or a family member’s graduation ceremony. Skirts, dresses, rompers, jumpsuits, or nice pants and shirt are recommended. Sandals, flats, platforms, wedges, or other nicer shoes with or without a heel are appropriate for Round 3. Keep in mind you will still be walking long distances, so we recommend bringing comfortable walking shoes for in-between parties.

Round 4

Preference Round is nice and fancy attire, and is the dressiest of all the rounds! Wear clothes that you would wear as a guest to a wedding or to a “cocktail attire” event. Heeled shoes or dress shoes are appropriate for Preference Round since you will be attending a maximum of 2 houses this day. Just like Round 3, we recommend comfortable walking shoes for when you are not in a party!
