Phi Mu

The faithful sisters.

The Theta Zeta chapter of Phi Mu is dedicated to exemplifying one of our favorite acronyms, LIOB, meaning Love in our Bond, day in and day out. The women of Phi Mu strive to support, love and learn from each and every member from the moment they open their bid to the time they graduate. Our chapter pushes our sisters to excel in all aspects and become the best version of themselves before they leave Georgia Tech.

Our colors are Rose and White, symbols are the Lion and Quatrefoil, and our flower is the Rose Carnation. Each Phi Mu is dedicated to helping their Philanthropy, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Letters of recommendation/reference are no longer used. We encourage all interested women to register with Panhellenic and we look forward to meeting you during recruitment!

“Joining Phi Mu is a special experience for anyone who is lucky enough to get an invitation, but being able to join as twins has been twice as special. 2020 was isolating and out of the ordinary for everyone, but for us, it made going to college even more nerve wracking. Although it was online, recruitment was still so exciting and made us eager to join the CPC community and meet so many amazing girls. Thankfully, when we opened our bids, we both saw the Phi Mu crest at the top. We just loved being sisters so much, we had to double it! We are so grateful to be able to share all the joys of Phi Mu with one another.”

“Pursuing a difficult degree like CS at Tech made me want to find a group of women who could support me in all ways, but mostly academically. Once I started rushing, I realized that Phi Mu could give me that and so much more! I am so happy that I was given the opportunity to call 240 Ferst home. Without this chapter I would have missed out on meeting some of my best academic mentors, roommates, travel buddies, and lifelong friends. Phi Mu is everything I could have asked for and more .”

Lenka Paulin

“As an out of state student, I was so ready to come to Tech but also nervous about how I was going to find a community. Joining Phi Mu made all my worries disappear. Instantly, I felt surrounded by love and was so excited to have found such an amazing group of women. They have helped me to navigate life at Tech, and have been there for me whenever I need them. The Theta Zeta chapter truly put the love in LIOB every time I enter the house! ”

OUR CREED

To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand. To think of God as a protector and guider of us all. To Keep forever sacred the memory of those we have loved and lost. To be to others what we would they would be to us. To keep our lives gentle, merciful and just, thus being true to the womanhood of love. To walk in the way of honor, guarding the purity of our thoughts and deeds. Being steadfast in every duty, small or large. Believing that our given word is binding. Striving to esteem the inner man above culture, wealth or pedigree. Being honorable, courteous, tender, thus being true to the womanhood of honor. To serve in the light of truth, avoiding egotism, narrowness and scorn. To give freely of our sympathies. To reverence God as our Maker, striving to serve him in all things. To minister to the needy and unfortunate. To practice day by day Love, Honor, Truth. Thus keeping true to the meaning, spirit and reality of Phi Mu.
